My Diamond in The Rough, Now a Princess

FGS Sep 03, 2010 11:43 AM

The first photo shows this gold blush mojave spider the day I slit her egg. As you can see that egg was pretty ugly, but who would have thought such a beautiful snake would have been hiding in there. She weighed 35 grams when she hatched and for a month or so didn't eat and would not respond to assist feeding. I ended up pinky pumping her once and the day after she was eating like crazy on her own. She's now at around 130 grams and eats everytime she is offered food.

She has now gone through her second shed and I'm beginning to see white highlights coming up from her sides and the blushing is coming in nicely from the gold blush side of the equation.

My first sight of her

Photo of her as of last night

I hope everyone is having a great season.
