double jointed dragon ???

ricklouthan Sep 06, 2010 05:48 PM

Hi all,
I have a dragon that doesn't seem to be able to coordinate the directionality of his legs. He has ill regard as to which direction to move his limbs. He has been this way from birth. initially it seemed to only involve his feet. (turning this way or that). Though now it seems to involve his entire legs. Tho it has been a slow progression. He is 8mo. old with a s/v length of 6". I realize that this is a small size for the age.
This is the third dragon that I have birthed out in as many years with the same defliction tho the other two died before they reached much size.
Normally I would consider euthanizing such a defect, tho it doesn't seem to bother the little guy at all... He aggresively flip-flops his way around his bin in pursuit of his food. Soo I don't have the heart to take him out.
Does any one have any info regarding this deformity??
I breed out hundreds of dragons as healthy as can be with proper food and lighting conditions. Tho I wonder if this isn't a form of MBD.
Any info would be greatly apreciated.
THX, Rick

Can you post a picture? I have a dragon that seems to have no coordinated movement of his arms or legs. He is a little over 3 now and very small, about 160 grams.
