little splendida girl

DMong Sep 06, 2010 07:44 PM

Gosh,...Yes, I know splendida ain't exactly a rare item in this hobby,..but I REALLY like these little guys an aweful lot that I have here!

I can't wait to get some offspring from this killer little pair!

I didn't mess with the male tonight, but I was just adding some water to this little sweathearts water bowl, and thought I would try to get some half-way decent pics of her while I had her out.

Very nice Doug.....
Although not rare they are still one of my all time favorite Getula King........Maybe because they are from my neck of the woods.........And I've been seeing them since I was a kid......

Thanks John!,....

Ya know, it's funny you mentioned that, because I really think that is also what got me back into the nice yellow brooki again. When I was about ten or so, my mom got me a real nice yellow brooksi from a collector husband of a friend of her's that hunted around the southern Miami/Dade Homestead area, and getting some more seemed to bring back some great childhood memories for me.

This same guy is where I also got some awesome Miami phase corns, Yellow Rats, and some killer Indigo's from as well as a young kid in the late 60's early 70's.

The forum member "Upscale" certainly remembers seeing some of those Indigos I had as a kid way back in the day........I am thinking of those great times right now as I type this man!.....ahhhhh!..LOL!!

Dang Doug, I think they are getting better with age, and keeping their pattern too! I know I saw pics of them before, but she looks extra nice now.

Thanks Jorge!....

Yeah bro, these guys really are sweet examples. The yellow on this girl is actually a bit more vivid in person than the photo depicts!

I think these two will be ready to go for me next year.
