Crazy Champagne Combo!

Sloanreptiles Sep 06, 2010 10:16 PM

I know there are quite a few people who think all Champagne combos look alike, while we disagree with that statement entirely because a Mojave Champagne next to a Pastel Champagne is entirely different
We got this picture from our friend Marshall a while back, we didn't know if the breeder wanted this picture public so we kept it hidden. We found out today that he doesn't mind so here it is!
Champagne Pastel Calico

What a surprise!! Always negative comments from him...

evansnakes Sep 07, 2010 01:27 AM

I am not being negative. It 100% looks fake. The stripe looks like it was added to an existing photo. Prove me wrong. This guy is posting these pics on sites saying that it is friend of a friend or whatever 3rd partys pics. Who has seen it in person? You dont think that that picture looks doctered?

Being a photographer... I can say it would be an absolute waste of time to photoshop that stripe on... It would take WAY to long to make it look that perfect...

The colors were probably corrected in PS ( not played with), but the blacks arent completely true black (checked in PS)The vibrance may have been increased. I would say its the real deal...

So either he is better (and much more patient) in photoshop then i am or its a pretty good representation of what the animal really looks like =)

If anything is 100% here, it's the Sloan family and their integrity.

evansnakes Sep 07, 2010 11:46 AM

That may be, I do not know them either way, but he covered that when he said that they were somebody elses' pics of another persons animals.

I appreciate that, I responded to the one pic that you showed us. And that pic really does look doctored. The colors do not look like they match up at all. That is what I said. If the animals are real that is great. But even after I saw other pics that are the same animal(s), their color is nowhere near that one posted here. What I am trying to say is simple, that pic, posted here, looks off. Like somebody tweaked it. If it is not fake, which is cool if its not, did they still feel like they needed to improve the color? Because it is much more bright and intense than the other pics now that I have seen those.

it would have made a difference to me if you had posted that they were exported from Noah by Stefan. I was told about a striped champagne combo morph that noah was selling several months ago when a friend of mine was at his place in ghana.

WOW, my mouth is still hanging open... I am not a fan of Champagnes, to me they look like they have been bedded on cheap newspaper so they got all dirty with black newsprint. I always feel they look like they need a good bath. But this one changes everything. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing the photo.

As far as we know thats what it was sold as. Keep in mind that there are probably only pictures of 10 or so of the Pastel Champagnes produced out there, David Green produced one with almost the same amount of pattern, and one we produced has quite a bit of pattern on its tail and neck. They age alot different then most morphs

WoW is all I can say, I have not been a huge fan of the Champ until now.. That ranks right up there with the Banana stuff, Killer Clown, and Coral Glow in my book.. What a great looking snake. And to think I didnt think the Champ was worth owning.. Foolish boy... But not as foolish as you know who that says thats not a real picture... AWESOME. Jay
