HYPO Durango ? These just hatched and I need public opinion.

dangerdan Sep 25, 2003 10:11 AM

The parents of these are supposed to have the hypo gene in them somewhere. This is as close as I have come to a hypo. What do you think. No matter what this is the best durango I have produced so it will not be going anywhere. Thanks for your help.

It is either hypo or very reduced black. What bloodline is your breeders? Is this the only hatchling that looks like this? Very nice Greeri. Here is a shot of mine. Looks a little hypo, but just light phased.

Looks hypo to me. Where did you get them? Do you know the history behind them? That's important. -Dan

Copy and paste this and tell me if it is hypo or not. It is reduced black. It is a holdback from my VR strain hatchlings in '02. I have seen Applegate's hypo Greeri and see black on the head on some on the dorsal scales around the saddles.
Let me know what you guys think.

That looks like a variable king to me, great looking animal.

My light phased Greeri are from an ex employee of the Houston Zoo. The zoo funded journeys to Durango, Mexico and collected some Greeri in the early 80's. This is the result of 20 years of line breeding.
Too bad I can't produce my own until 2005. This business is all about patience and waiting. LOL!!

It's not a hypo. It's just reduced black borders. -Dan
