what Paint?

Z_G_Reptiles Sep 08, 2010 09:04 AM

I built this hatchling rack over the weekend and am going to paint the inside and exposed edges black, what type of paint would be good to do this and also be used to seal it up?

and to keep it a little more on topic

Thanks
Zack

It looks like raw MDF board?? May be able to paint the top and bottom, but would think the edges would just keep soaking up the paint, and potentially expand like they would with water. You can buy iron on edge banding. What is typically on melamine shelves, just comes in a roll. Usually found near the melamine. Cut it to length, use an iron to heat up the glue as you press it on.

Thanks for the input, no it's not MDF, it's simular to the particle board walmart uses with the cabnets they sell.

I was thinking of using an exterior latex bassed pained, has anyone ever used this on racks?
