A few pictures and a quick question.

Some of you older members might have seen these before, but I have not been on this forum for ages so I decided to post them again. Here they are:

The first day I got him. Such a sad sight. He was all skinny and under fed.

About a week after I got him, he developed this nasty eye infection. I was worried to say the least.

After a good month of treating the eye infection with meds, it was totally defeated. My uro, Karu (meaning "desert" in Finnish), was getting to be in better health and his color was getting brighter.

Another month rolled by and his color and health was steadily improving.

This is the most recent picture I have of him, I need to take another. But you can see that he is now quite healthy and extremely bright yellow. That is one beautiful lizard.

I'll take some new pictures after he finishes his first shed completely. Right now his skin has that before-shed grey color. I expect to see some amazing color when he is finished.

Here is his cage:

Do you think this is enough room to house another female uro? If not, I can make a new cage of the same size for her. That may be the best. I really want to get into breeding these uros. Ever since I saw the pics of them hatching on the Deerfernfarms page, I had to breed them. I've already bred leopard geckos successfully so I am equipped to handle Uro eggs.

So, what do you all think?

The pics didn't show? That's odd. But this tank he is in now measures something like 4'L x 2'W x 2.5'H. That is enough space? I plan on getting a red female, if I can.

That is definatly enough space, i bet you could even fit a trio in that size, any more than that i am not sure, but definatly a pair and maybe even a trio! Good luck with breeding them! I know doug has alot of nice saharan females right now, i looked at them but i can't afford or house another right now, alot of them have nice belly stripes. have fun, i love your yellow by the way

Ah, so you can see the pictures now?

I wouldn't get more then 1 more uro. Two is plenty for me! I wouldn't be getting one for a long time tho. Maybe are March when my b-day rolls around. Then I'll have the cash that I need. The cage he is in now is sure a set up from a 20 gal long, huh? lol

yeah the pictures didn't show up at school but now at home they do. He looks alot like my female when you first got him. She is doign much better now too. She gained 30 grams once i gave her some meds and that is in 2 monthes. My female albino has gained 10 grams in one month. Fat animals live here! Defiantly a change froma 20 gallon long. Good luck
