bakeaway Sep 08, 2010 12:52 PM

Alright,,,,i have alot of kings and bulss,,,now i want to get a corn. I have always loved the Okeetee. But there are so many lines? Which is the most popular? I want super clean markings.
I don't see that many Okeetees offered around Los Angeles.

Thanks

I think Jeff Cochran's Okeetees are some of the nicest around. I am not sure where his first came from, but he has produced some outstanding animals. I think they might be Soderberg's lines, but could be wrong. He is on here as Cochran.

I second that opinion - Jeff selectively breeds the best Okeetees and has been doing so for a few years.

Thanks Misty! but,I really can't take full credit! My corns wouldn't be here if it weren't for the Abbott line. All I did was take my favorite Abbott and breed him to a really red female from unknown origin. Also, there's alot of nice lookin' okeetees out there! Jeff

I'd have to vote for Lee Abbott's. I like the intense orange on thick black borders. http://leesokeetees.com/

the abbotts line are great but I would honestly have to say that right now if i was going to buy an okeetee I would go to Jeff.
I can't think of any okeetees I have ever seen to top what jeff is producing right now...even Lee's.
I'm not sure if he started with Abbotts stock, Love stock, Soderberg stock,a combination of these or none but what he has done with his okeetees is impressive to say the least.
