Read, Read, Read, and when you are done, read some more. There are LOTS of websites out there. What works for one person doesn't work for someone else. Read, read, read, and find what works for you.

And please, oh, please stop posting in all capitals! I appreciate your enthusiasm, but it is better displayed through your desire to learn more, not through the caps lock button.

Here is a good start to doing some reading:

The Complete Ball Python: A Comprehensive Guide to Care, Breeding and Genetic Mutations by Kevin McCurley

Pythons of the World, Vol 2 by David G. Barker & Tracy M. Barker

Morph Guides:

Furthermore, many of the links of breeders above tend to have information about morphs, breeding, and Balls in general on their sites. They are also kinds of the "gods" of our hobby.

Out of curiosity, do you currently own any Ball Pythons, or other kinds of snakes? I'm just wondering what is inspiring your desire to start breeding them and what your background with snakes is. It's hard for us to give you advise when you haven't actually provided us with any background info as far as your current collection, setup, and experience level.

If you want to get into the "game" to make money then my advise is don't bother. Only the big breeders who have devoted their lives, not to mention hundreds of thousands of dollars, actually make decent money. Most of the rest of us are breaking even at best. This hobby works best if you are super passionate about ball pythons and if money is a secondary concern or not a concern at all.

If you have experience owning ball pythons, have fallen in love with the species as we all have, and are just now ready to take that next step, then welcome to the forum. This is a great place with lots of helpful people.

As for the caps, your logic makes NO sense. Your grammatical and spelling errors would stand out even more in all caps than they would in little letters so being lazy about proof reading is no reason to type in all caps. And I do have to toss in, if you are too lazy to type a few sentences in normal letters due to not wanting to spend time proofreading, then this hobby might not be for you, it's not a "lazy" hobby, it's a daily commitment and takes much much more time and effort than just typing a few sentences normally and proofreading them...

Welcome to the forum...you'll find a wide range of knowledge and skill here. Again, read as much as you can...first! Once you think you have the knowledge base, then get your set up ready...including tools, caging and balanced temps ready before you purchase any animals. Last, purchase the morphs that you are most interested in keeping/creating. Having one morph of everything might be the best solution. I would suggest targeting one or two morphs at first then branch out once you have your feet wet. In other words, draw out a short term, mid-range and long range plans. Some project can take years (maybe the better part of a decade) before you ever seen results. And by that time, many have lost interest. I'm still trying to produce my first recessive morph (het albino poss het snow X normals)and it's been 4 breeding seasons with no results. I've been taking the long road on this project just to do it.

Oh, about the all caps...some freak out about it...but I take it that you might think we are "hard of reading"...groan.

And to the OP, everyone in here would rather you make a few typos than yell at them internet style.

........buy and read ,and reread....''Keeping and Breeding Pythons and Boas''-- By Richard Ross....old book...teaches you to breed, not to look at pretty pics of morhs...it was written before shows and before balls came in any color besides brown....

....even the old book Kingsnakes and Milksnakes by Ron Markel will teach you alot.....

....yes...buy the first Barker book on Australian pythons too....

then...for kicks...buy the other stuff.......LOL.....

pretty pictures- pretty pictures....
