Yang Haisheng feeds beef to a cobra with a fractured neck through a plastic tube at the wildlife protection center of Menghai county, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province on August 29.
The snake was saved after two men who had it in a cloth bag tried to sell it but dropped it and fled after concerned passersby alerted police.
Yang examined the 1.45-meter long reptile and found its neck was fractured and took it to the wildlife center for treatment.
He uses a chopstick to get the snake to open its mouth and then quickly inserts the plastic tube.
It eats 100 grams of finely-chopped beef a day. Yang said he expects it will recover in about three months, then it will be released into the wild.
