Ltt Hot Spot Temp?

aquaboyaquatics Sep 09, 2010 07:19 PM

I'm assembling a new rack this weekend. Heating my whole room is just too expensive. Using heat tape on each shelf. What size or width heat tape should i use and what temp should i set the hot spot to?

It will house Eastern and Red Milks and Eastern Chain Kings.

Thanks,
Mike

I think the reason you haven't received any responses is twofold.
First, there are not that many people actually working with L.t.triangulum, and second, what I have found is that you have to experiment and find out what works best for YOU. There really is no "cookbook" way to keep L.t.triangulum, and depending on your climate you may have significantly different issues and needs than someone else keeping L.t.t. (and red milks and eastern chain kings) may have.

Good luck with your new setups.

tape?...set it at 85 if it holds that you are good to go....

....I keep balls at that and milks...you'll see if they hate it or like it and if they stay warm side or cold side....

I kept the baby milks above the sink in my room....it runs about 83 there usually....they did fine...(reds ,pales, temporalis etc)...
