Observations of the two Flevopol alternatives.

I finally found an Ace Hardware in the 20,000 square mile radius of the Phoenix metro area that carries the Ace Concrete Primer and Bonding Additive. Arriving at the store, I noticed that they also carry Weldbond, which Home Depot is supposed to carry, but is not stocked at the 3 locations I have visited.

Through several weeks of research and contemplation, I had decided the the Ace CPBA was the best option, as it seemed to be a better "sealer". While in line, I noticed that the label on the gallon jug states that the product is not to be used where water is constantly present, i.e. a swimming pool. It goes on to say that is should only be applied where water is present intermittently. At this point, I stepped out of line and placed the jug back in its place; the project I am working on will have 4 seperate water features, all of which involve in one way or another the use of a drip wall. I went to the next aisle over, and began to read the label on the gallon of Weldbond. There is not a word of cautionary advice concerning water with this product. It seals just about everything and is even used by NASA on spaceships, so the label states.

I opted for the Weldbond, obviously. I am 98% sure that if it had a problem with water, it would state so on the label, as did the Ace CPBA.

If anyone has an precautionary advice on this product, I won't be using it for a few days, so please chime in. Thanks.

Sounds good to me. In fact, I might look for that to use in my next vivarium. The concrete primer has the same warning about not using it where water is constantly present, but I knew I wouldnt have a water feature that would keep it soaked. The misting system I installed keeps it damp, but not wet. Ive touched it and it is still firm so Im not woried. Your stuff sounds intriging and I might take a look for it next time Im at Home Depot or Ace. Thanks for sharing.
