Wax worms/moths

jbmac Sep 25, 2003 11:24 AM

I bought some wax worms for my anole a few weeks ago and i would like to know what to feed/gutload them on. So........does anyone know? And also, most of the wax worms have now metamorphosised in to moths. So can someone answer the same question for moths aswell?

Thanks in advance

Here's a good site for you:

Keeping and Breeding Waxworms

But I'll caution you, that waxworms are high in fat, and should be only fed for little treats. They're known to be very addictive to many reptiles, so just be a little careful with them. Good luck!

Thanks
I am guessing that the worms and moths feed on the bran and honey mixture. Do you think that this will gut load them sufficiently?

Of course.

As a treat? As long as you gutload whatever other food you use well it's perfectly fine
