Leather Question

argus6873 Sep 10, 2010 07:21 PM

Italian leathers are codominant. I recently bred a male italian leather with two "normal" females and roughly 50% of the clutches were leathers. The question I have is what will I get if I breed the "normal" siblings with a non-related "normal"? Will I get any leathers? Also, if I bre2d "normal" siblings from differnt clutches with each other what will happen? 50% leathers? 25%? 0? Thanks for the help.

The normal siblings are just that, 'normal'. The codominate trait dominates the normal gene to produce a visual morph. All the normal siblings don't have any 'leather' genetics in them at all.
