i must say, mitch from diamond has certianly out done his self on this breeding project. i just recived my diamond caiman a little less than 2 hours ago and i have already grown found of it. dispite all the bull that alot of people talk about these animals becuase of the cross breeding issues they are great looking caimans and she arrived in great health even in the low temps were having now. she was alert and calm at the same time once i got her out of the shipping contianer she just walked through my hands and on to my bed and she walked right up to my buddy on onto his lap and then back onto the bed and i picked her up and while all this was going on not one time did she seem stressed or did she hiss or squirm and best of all no nipping unlike all other hatchlings ive obtained. and the features of this animal are one of a kind, they have shorter snout than usall and large paddle talls and outstanding marking all threw out there body. all this combined makes for one of the best looking caimans ive ever seen. i highly recomend anyone wishing to get another caiman or even to start out in crocodilians to give these animals a try. you wont be dissapointed. thanks to all that took the time to read this and thanks to mitch or the great caiman and also one question, do you guys think it would be alright to house to hatchlings toghether of different species? i have a 3 week old smooth front and i was wanting to place it in with the diamond hybrid, but i have n expirence in dual housing caimans except my two dwarfs but they are a few years old and wasnt placed together till last summer.
