Wearing away the floor in my snake room

waspinator421 Sep 11, 2010 11:59 PM

These two gravid girls have been HUGE for quite a while now, and I am quite surprised they haven't had their babies yet! It's gotten to the point where I'm going to go bald soon from hair pulling.

Here are some pics from tonight. I can never quite get the color right on indoor pictures.

Here is violet, in the same spot she's been sitting for at least 2 months now. She is soooo lumpy!

These two pics of Zuul were taken last week. You can really see some lumps here!

Here is Zuul tonight.

Gah! The wait is excruciating! These are two of my most highly anticipated litters this year...

Zuul bred with Gozer and they are both VERY dark and they both have some aberrant patterning. Their babies should be interesting!

Violet bred Obsidian, my Hypo male, so these will be the first ever het Hypo, Pearl line babies!

Looking good, what breeding/shed dates do you have on them?

And gestation temps?

LOL, I don't think I wrote down the dates I observed breeding. I bet I can go back to my pics and get the date from those... will have to check. I never check gestation temps, but I'll find my temp gun and test their bodies to see what they are cooking at.

What's up w/Violet's left eye?

waspinator421 Sep 13, 2010 12:13 AM

It's scarred from a rat bite. Her eye looked fine for the longest time, but the white slowly creeped in.

Aubrey,
...Those are two amazing looking lumpy snakes. The only thing better than all the variation in color and pattern in BRBs is seeing what new babies from them look like.
