I have a big guy who recently started eating, after 4 months of not taking anything.
I was told he was strickly a mouse eater, but im thinking about throwing a little Rat in with him, and seeing if he wants it.
My concern is that the rat will "Set Him Off", and he will quit feeding.
A few months ago he acted interested in a small rat, struck, Attempted to Coil, then let go. I havent offerd one again because I dont want to risk him not eating for this upcoming Breeding Season.
Advice?

try smaller than normal....eyes closed even so it don't freak him out....he will eat rats- or not...this time of year they change for the good and for the bad....alot start eating better actually now....go for it...if he doesn't eat it....get a bunch of large mice....old breeders.....they are around .....
