How to breed RES?

philip_s May 26, 2003 10:36 AM

Hey all,
I am thinking at some point breeding RES's. I all ready have a breeding pair, (in sepret tanks) and the female all ready laid 2 infertal eggs this year (no breeding). But what do you have to do to breed them? Do you cool them like a coulbrid? I cool my coulbrids down to 55 degs and in total darkness for 2 months then wake them back up (no food for 2 week before) do I do the same for turtles? After I cool them how long do I leave them togetter? And last but not least, how do I do the land for them to lay there eggs? I would not be breeding till next year so I have alot of time to learn. Well thanks for any help.
Philip

Please don't breed RES. Breed something there is a demand for. If you look around on the adoption websites, there just giving them away for free because there is hundreds that need homes.

I've asked before, but no one seems to want to tell me what the adoption websites are!
