>>Hello.

>>Finally.. have 1 baby corn snake! Found it Sunday. There are still what look like maybe 2 more white good eggs. Shouldn't they have hatched by now? I read in The Corn Snake manual that eggs usually hatch within 48 hours of each other. Also read sometimes breeders cut a little opening in case the baby is weak. (I'm not a breeder. I just happen to put mine together an they mated.) When do you say "its been to long an time to make a little cut?" I just dont' want to loose any babies if they are alive an cant' get out.
I've had eggs hatch a week apart. A friend of mine had some hatch nine or ten days apart. Although I have done it, I'm not a big fan of slitting eggs so I would give them more time. Some people will slit them if they don't hatch within hours of each other. Some give it a day or two. Heck some slit all their eggs once they reach a certain day. "Well, it's day 60 time to slit the eggs"..
I personally wouldn't slit the eggs until maybe day eight or nine but that's just me.
