No i havent mike.
I guess i havent wanted to bother her
as every day, i came in, i thought today would be the day.
My biggest concern after about a week, was that there was a blockage, and that the babies inside, may have started to die, and thus rot. But given its now 16 days since that premmie, i dont think that scenario is whats going on.

i need to get myself a fetal heart monitor, as in this situation i think it would help.

i will try the and give her a feel tmrw for a blockage, but need to get a mate around to help. She has the same attitude as my future mother in law......

See my comments below in blue

>>My het hypo female. Dates below
>>19/03 last copulation witnessed A little early but well within normal timing. Also you might not have witnessed everything?
>>23/03 looks swollen (ovulation?)IMO on the short timing side after a copulation for an ovulation swell.
>>13/05 shed Way too long after the swell for the swell to have been an ovulation. From that date I'd place the due date at September 7th so only a week over right now.
>>03/06 ate 2 mice Normal.
>>10/06-29/08 never saw off the heat Normal.
>>31/08 1 x dead hypo premmie found in cage Not good at all (duh) did you find any signs of slugs that could have been passed and eaten?
>>04/09 ovious swelling, mid region (looks like she trying to hold stuff in given body position)
>>05/09 waxy stool
>>05/09 moved to hide box
>>08/09 another waxy stool
>>09/09 sitting on cold end, temp gunned at about 79f
>>11/09 another waxy stool
>>14/09 opaque!!!! I'm very sorry but this is a sign she's done. By all means not concrete but typical of a female that had her "litter" a couple weeks prior.

I'd go ahead and offer her a small meal after she sheds

Again, my sympathies to you.

Cheers for your comments dave.
I left out some info about copulations etc, but they were all in dates before the first one i posted. There may have been copulations after, and i either didnt see them, or didnt write them down. When you have snakes shagging, in every cage, every day, sometimes not everything gets noted!!
There was a small amount of blood on the newspaper, but i believe it was from the single premmie, as it still had its egg yolk attached. If she did produce slugs etc, she is a world class cleaner, as there was just no mess at all.
The mid swelling was what had me stumped, i was really sure there was more in there.
As i have written before, this is all a learning curve, and im taking it as that. I plan to turn every failure into much more success. (just kinda wished it had been a normal litter not the hypos
live and learn......

cheers

Dave,
..It has certainly looked bad since she laid thast one premature snake but do not give up all hope just yet. I have had them lay while opaque. I also think they can to some extent control when they lay a litter and she could be delaying laying the rest of this litter. I think we have discussed most other possibilities but would add that it is possible that the one dead premie was the entire litter.
