Anyone use Vision racks?

webhawk26 Sep 15, 2010 02:20 PM

I was wondering if anyone here uses the Vision racks? I think I am going to switch to them but I wanted to hear feedback from people keeping their Hogs in them. Thanks for any information and experiences.

I use the v-35 rack for my adults and so far works wonderful.

Same here! I just converted by Vision Hatchling Rack to the V-35 Style as well and it works great and the hogs love it!!

I plan on buying the v-35 also. It is good hearing positive feedback. Has anyone got their snakes to breed in them? I have heard from a bigger ball python breeder that the ball pythons wont breed in them and they will only use freedom breeder racks. I really can not justify paying twice the price if these work just as well.

That's a little hard to believe seeing that The Snake Keeper, Pro Exotics, and Jeremy Stone all use Visions for their BP's and seem to be doing pretty well.

That said I couldn't use Visions for BP's because I don't heat the room they are in and Visions will not hold in enough heat to reach proper ambient temps for them.

With colubrids like hogs, that's not a problem, and I would have no problem using Visions.... that is if they were competitively priced with my DIY melamine racks.

While I am not very experienced in breeding hogs I bred my first pair this year and they did just fine. It was my first breeding and she laid 10 fertile eggs and 4 slugs but I did not cool them and it was her first time breeding.
