Early Sexing...?

Despite all that's been written, is there any way to boost the odds of picking out a male ig from a group of juvies at the local herp shop? Head size? Dominant behaviour?

In general id say no, but a few igs can develop the bulge under the tail sooner than others! My 4th iguana , Ariel, is only 18 months but already has a large bulge easily noticeable to anyone! The best thing to do to sex an iguana is to take it to a vet and to ask him to do the DNA blood test but probably the petshop will not allow you to do that before purchasing the iguana!
