Selling Boas in socks..

djinn Sep 16, 2010 06:09 PM

How many of you folks ship your baby Boas in socks?

I recently sold a baby and the guy asked me if I would ship them in a deli cup or a cloth bag. I told him a sock, lol. He insisted it be a clean sock and not a smelly one! I actually shipped them in deli cups.. I bought more than one Boa in the early 90's from The Boaphile that came in a sock, ha ha!

Socks are a great idea. They have no corners for the snake to twists it's head in. When is ship in bags I tape the corners to create basically a sock now that I think of it.

The best part of buying Boas in socks is if you buy a pair of Boas, you get a bonus pair of socks! White socks of course!

I have shipped HUNDREDS of Boas in socks!

lol, the only reason I shipped them in deli cups was because I had them laying around from previous Boa purchases. I never throw anything away. Once those are gone though, socks!

I see a great marketing idea - buy a pair of socks, get a pair of boas free

Love the sock idea!

When I was a little kid in the 70s I had a shirt that said, "Sock it to me." What were my parents thinking. Perhaps a foretelling of boas shipped in socks.

ive shipped in socks in the past when i have been out of bag`s & they work great so as long as there clean/new i see no issue with that

djinn Sep 17, 2010 11:09 AM

I have NO issue with it at all. Pragmatic solutions are usually the best! I just thought it was funny the way the guy reacted and wondered how common a procedure it was in the community.

My first boa was delivered in a crown royal bag, which I guess is like a sock with a built-in drawstring.
