I Purchased this little male from Ben Siegels reptile in late may while i was visiting my home town, he was in a cage with 2 other young adults with a $50 price tag on the tank, I instantly was drawn to him and told the salesman that's the one. He told me he needed to check with the the manager because he believed the snake was a yellow belly and said he would get in trouble. I followed him to the manager and she said " If it said 50, we gotta do it for 50 ". I never got an answer, so I'm satisfied with opinions, take into consideration that these pictures were taken off a crappy phone camera. The first picture is for reference on the contrast of the color.

All help is appreciated.

i'd say no. Pattern and what little i see of the belly aren't right.

He looks pretty normal, but here are some pictures of my Yellow Belly, whos a similar size to your snake.

gunna go out a limb, if a big name like ben sold you a snake as a normal ...... guess what? its a normal. also it looks nothing even close to a yellow belly.

i have been into the yellow belly jean from the start of my collection no one realy knows here me but that does not have the typical look overall

Thanks for the memories. You used to see a couple of these a week. I haven't seen a request for YB verification in months/years.

Yeah definitely just a normal, I had been counting him as another normal but was hoping. The pictures of the known yellow bellys really contrast the differences. Thanks to everyone for the help. I haven't had any experience with yellow belly morphs before, didn't know what to look for, but the difference is obvious now. Pattern and the lack of speckling on the belly scales.
