How long can you use pinkies that are frozen? How long is too long to keep them frozen and then try to feed them to your Corn Snake?
You'll probably get a lot of different answers to that question. Snakes will probably continue to eat them no matter how old or freezer burned they are. But they will lose their nutritional value over time. Personally I think it's best to use your supply within a few months if possible, but I haven't thrown any away either!
I heard someone say that after one year they start to loose some of their nutritional value. I don't know how true that is or where the data came from, but I think that's a good general rule to follow. I breed my own rodents and I do freeze them sometimes especially rats during the cooler months. I date the bags and always try to use the older ones first of course, but I have used some a year old and there was no apparent difference.

If you have mice in the freezer long enough to go bad you need more snakes...lol

A very realistic way to look at it Jimmy!..HAHAA!!
Also, to the OP, making sure the bags are very well re-sealed and all the air pushed out real well before hand really helps preserve them alot longer too.
...........air is definitely the "enemy" here!

Yeah, I guess if you get enough snakes, you won't even have to re-seal the bag at all!. There will just be an empty bag afterwards..LOL!

You can always role your own lol. I used to buy f/t but we went out on our own just for the ones we have and it's not been that hard. Of course they are outside and Alabama winters aren't usually that bad so I could see a problem up north if the power ever goes out. Btw most pet stores will only sell males around my area so your best bet this route is at shows as long as it's not a old female you should be good.
