What will I get?

jscrick Sep 18, 2010 04:49 PM

If this 66% het for Kahl Albino Leopard male proves out heterozygous, in a successful breeding to this Sunglow female, what are the percentages?
Might I get a Sunglow (hypo albino) leopard?

Yes it is that female Sunglow and yes I do still have the Dave Lee female. That one has a ton of Bcc to her, too.

The leopard gene is a recessive gene meaning both parents need to carry the gene to produce a Homozygous Leopard. If the Sunglow was het. leopard then yes you would get sunglow leopards 12.5% chance.

If the leopard proves out to be het. albino then you could get:

25% Normal het. Albino Leopards
25% Albino het. Leopards
25% Hypo het. Albino Leopards
25% Sunglow het. Leopards

That's what I wanted to know. Thanks.
