These boneheads have been out and about all day and have all kinds of hide option all over the room, but they've been like this for hours. You can barely seen the Leucy Pine in the bottom tier of the cigar box - that's his home and he ALWAYS goes back after a romp of one or two days.

Oh, that is sweet! I wish I could let my bulls roam the room, but what with the cats and some other people who have yet to grasp the concept of the closed door...

I do take them out for supervised play. (Please don't go behind the stove again!)

It is indeed an ironic pleasure that my modest living situation affords. A whole other dimension to keeping the animals. I really enjoy it, aside for the occasional mess to deal with.

Very cool, Brad. I like the homemade hideboxes. Most of my snakes have got similar accessories. Do you smoke stogies?

LOL, nope, no stoggies, but I do enjoy the aroma of a fine cigar.

In case you don't know, the "cigar box" is from Michaels. They have them now and then for about $5.00. Great for hides. In this case there are two glued together which provides a two story option. That works really well for temp regulation and the snakes use both levels. I highly recommend it

Dude that's awesome!!! Post mooore

Hey speaking of your lucy pine, how long is that critter now? I just measured mine at 52 inches! The increase in feedings I did for a few months really helped and he is totally ready to make his appearance in my wedding now haha!! I think I am gonna put him back onto twice a week feedings again since that worked so well just to get him over 5 feet, and then go back to once a week so as not to overkill it

Hey Markus,

Good news about your'n. Mine is his usual finicky self. Very healthy and probably just about 52". Odd, but nothing nearly as bad as my '08 P. d. deppei female - she's still only about 28 inches and routinely refuses food. Then every time she seems to get on a roll it just stops. Healthy though.

My Black Milk never misses a meal and is about 4 1/2 feet now.

all-4-now.

Weird how your feller is such a finicky one there! Wonder what his dealio is haha! Well that's cool though, looks like our brothers are back to being the same size again I hope they both get past 5 foot mark at least. You think they have a chance to? Fingers crossed

And wow that is a little deppei lady there! Hopefully she will get on a consistent roll soon and come to realize that eating food a growing big can be fun haha!

And yeah my black milks...same story as your fellow. Pigs.

My Black Milk is a pig so far but my '07 Honduran male went on a 160 day fast and just came off finally a couple weeks ago. Lost a lot of weight but wasn't severe and seemed healthy.

I'd think our Leucies will get 5 or more, it's just gonna take a while. btw, I generally leave the top of his cage and he goes out about every few days but always goes back in his hide!

Wow thats a long food strike!! Glad he is back on!

Ok cool glad to hear you think that! I am gonna keep feeding mine as much as he will take and hope for the best! And thats way cool you can let them have free reign of the room! My room just aint set up that way, but someday maybe
