Prolapsed Hemipene

dan80woma Sep 21, 2010 05:14 PM

I have one of my breeder males with a hemipene showing. This happened less than 24 hrs ago. Newspaper is the bedding . I have put him in sugar water to soak. I was wondering how long should I soak him, and what is the next step if this does not work. Thanks for any help.

I believe you can also try "Preparation H" if the sugar paste doesn't work.

After that its off to the Vet I believe.

That's all I got right now

Agreed. Clean him up, apply some preparation H, keep him on some slightly moist paper towels and he should be good as new tomorrow morning.
