Feeding Question!! =)

Turtlegirl Sep 25, 2003 03:35 PM

Can my Ball Python, (she's probably around 22 inches) eat a small f/t Rat pup?!
I had been feeding her f/t hopper sized mice, but right now I have adult mice and rat pups that I'm thawing to feed the snakes. -I think the adult mice look pretty big for her, but can I give her a rat pup?

Please reply!

Thanks!

I would think you could easily go to adult mice. My hatchlings, born in July were started on rat pups and eat both rat pups and small adult mice. A couple of them will even take two rat pups at a feeding.

Thanks, I guess I'll see how she does with a Rat Pup, and go from there...

Hahah how funny! My female was in the same little head position last night for like 10-15 minutes all perked up looking around, it was so cute, the 2nd i tried to take a picture of it though she got camera shy and went back to looking at herself in the water (she's such a narcicist lol)
