i looking for a sulcata tortise breeder/dealer around ky. does anyone know of any or would my best bet be to order one online? and where online can i order one??? thanks for any info

Try the classifieds on this site. Ask for references if your buying online - any one reputable should be able to give you some good ones. You should also check out www.sulcata-station.org before you buy, to make sure you really want one.

Why not consider adoption? Many places won't adopt to a place as cold as KY, but a local or regional herp society or rescue might be willing. Or, they might be willing to let you foster one over the winter, when they can't be shipped, so you can get an idea if it's really for you. One of my fosters thought she wanted a sulcata, until she fostered one!
