Sweet Lavender

Nokturnel Tom Sep 26, 2010 06:21 PM

What this is.... technically speaking... is a 50% Sulfur Lavender 66% het T Negative Albino. This came from a double het project. The Sulfur influence of the Lavender makes for all kinds of nice babies.
This is from last year. It was a runt and was a royal pain in the ass but as you can imagine I am glad I took the extra time to get it on track.
This is a very light Lav, I have failed numerous times when trying to get decent pics. Today I got lucky, hope you like these shots.

I always loved Lavs, this one is drab compared to my 100% Sulfur Lav but I think we are going to see some really cool Lav combos in the next few years and I will probably have em all

I've got a pair of Sulfur Het Lavs that I produced in 2008 that should breed this spring.

BTW, there aren't any 100% sulfur lavenders. Most are just 50% sulfur. I don't know of any that have been bred back into pure sulfur lines.

I just lost my female 100% Sulfur Lav... and I had bad luck with them. I still have a 100% Sulfur Lav breeder male and in 2009 my pair only produced 2 eggs.... both hatched but both were freakin males. I will post a pic of him when he sheds along with a comparison shot of the two.
I agree.... I do not know anyone out there who has a pair of 100%... and see MANY mislabeled snakes on the classifieds

The sulfur lavs did not originate in "pure" sulfur lines. They are all outcrosses. They were created by breeding a sulfur into a lavender, making them all 50% sulfur. There has never been a 100% sulfur lavender.

I will show you what I mean as soon as my "100%" sheds.
