Again, it has a little Hypo Brooksi in him but he reminds me of a Indigo with that scalation.

That animal is not 75% Eastern

It's 25% Goini 25% Eastern 50% Floridana

Mother: Goini x Amelanistic T- Eastern

Father: "Jelly" Brooksi

That same animal's photo in Hubbs' book looked absolutely STUNNING!. Somehow your awesome photography "skillz" have chopped it back quite a few notches..LMAO!!

What are you using for lighting, a stick with gasoline rags on the end for chrissakes??..HAHAA!

I'd ask what "chopped it back" meant but something tells me its not a compliment. For those of us who have never seen the book.....FANTASTIC PIC if you asked me.....

I was just messin with ya some Jeff. Your lavender Eastern is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL animal without question. I just wish I could post the far more accurate gorgeous photo Will Still took of it for everyone to see and enjoy, but it isn't legal to copy or duplicate any of the book contents as you know.

Wow Jeff, awesome eastern!! The Hubbs pic does show the lavender coloration better LOL!! Regardless, still an impressive animal. Seems the lavender amel/hypo(?) trait is fairly common in the getula subspecies/localities?

That in a nutshell is why alot of morphs are lost to the hobby. Its extremely rare that someone new to the hobby will put in the 6-8 years that it takes to bring a new morph to market. Atta boy Joe M!

a153fish Sep 28, 2010 05:04 PM

So he should just sell it to you right?

Wasn't it Joe K.??. The Joe M. I know would be breeding the hell out of that thing just like that sweet amel Eastern milk he caught in his back yard.

But regardless of that, sure, stuff happens and lots of cool animals never get their unique genetic traits propogated for countless reasons. .....oh well, that is life I guess.

The guy could easily change his mind about selling that splendida too once the novelty of owning and showing it off to his buddies wears off some..LOL!. I just hope it doesn't die before that happens.
