her name is Luna

It is lights out for the herps and my mini-cham doesn't seem to want to go to bed when the anoles do and the gecko's and the tarantula begin to wake up. When I turned out her light (she's not on the timer yet) she climbed right to the top of the cage and began circling - like a moth to a flame. So I turned her light back on and she settled down…bit of a night owl like her (new) mom. Her color reminds me of a luna moth (and as some of you know, I raise these beauties) It’s perfect. Luna translates as “moon” and between her circling like a moth, refusing to heed lights out, her color and her (new) Mom’s hobby…well, what else could it be?

That's a great name! And it sounds perfect for her...and you, too!

I'm so thrilled for you!

You raise Luna Moths?! Wow! I didn't know that you can do that, it seems like it would be hard given their size. That would be so neat, Luna moths are some of the neatest lepidoptera out there! Sorry that this is off subject, I just had to comment. Great name, I'm glad that you two are happy! Good luck!

Thanks for the wishes

Just so you know I do not raise Giant Silks as feeders. It is strictly a hobby and for education - from egg to release. If you're interested in more info post on the Butterfly/Moth forum -I check it out a few times a week.
