From what I see in those pics, I can't see any diffusion on the sides at all, so I don't think it is even close to being a "granite". The granites are the diffused gene X anerythrism both deing displayed at the same time. I can't even be sure it is an anerythristic corn from the pics to be quite honest..LOL!

Can you take a closer pic of the side length and belly for us? That would help out alot.

Here is a picture of a young Granite( AKA Diffused Anery) along with a belly shot. Does your snake have a pure white belly with no checkers? If not then it's not Diffused. I can't tell color from the small pics. Are the dark areas black, or are they brownish red? If brownish red it is not an Anery. Could they have meant he was "het" Granite?

I... see a miami in those photos. The saddles seem red, and there's definitely no diffusion.

Miamis are a type of 'normal' corn.

the colors on this guy are actually black and silver. he has some black and grey checkering on his belly. ( will post pix in a bit).

Looks like a normal anery IMO. May be het. for other recessive genes, but you will never know til proven.

Thanks Jeff!

from the picture it looks like a normal Miami phase but since you pointed out it doesn't have any red. I am not all that familiar with granite morph in corn snakes, but from what others have posted, it sounds like your snake is more likely a normal anery.

here are a few more pics

Shiari Sep 30, 2010 10:05 PM

Yup. That is a typical anery.

DMong Sep 30, 2010 10:08 PM

Yeah, that's an anerythristic corn. It might be heterozygous for granite, but it definitely isn't displaying the granite gene for sure!

Nice corn though!
