You Just Can't Let Go All Your Babies...

trevid Sep 29, 2010 10:33 PM

You just gotta make more room! If I keep 5 or 6 from two clutches totaling 22 babies, thats not bad...Right? Here are 3 keepers that just completed 2nd sheds...Dave.

Those are very nice! My favorite is the middle one. When my pyros start to produce babies I will find it very hard to part with ANY of them!

Yeah, I would say those are VERY nice hold-back choices you made there!

For all the nice comments. The great thing about the greybands are all the variables within their genetics. Blairs phase, Alterna and everything in between...Although no localities, I know this forum appreciates beauty...Dave.

Have your adults reduced their food intake? I have 4 girls that I need to feed kinds hard if they are to breed by next spring but all the girls have either slowed down or stopped all together.

Just the opposite. Im in the bay area in nor cal and its been quite warm for a while and everything is eating and shedding like crazy. Greybands havent slowed a bit. I have 3 brooksi and you know how they are garbage disposals, they never rufuse a meal, 1 cal king, a mex black, a rosy boa and 3 adult greybands that I held back as babies 5 years ago. Here are pics of the 3 siblings that combined for my 2 clutches. Male pic first then 2 females. Dave

Of my trio of gray-bands, one of the females refused a meal last night, the other female took a while but finally decided to eat, and the male is still eating with gusto.
