Update on Communal Experiment

pyromaniac Sep 30, 2010 09:42 AM

All together getting along just fine. It has been hot here the last few days and they have chosen the coolest place in the dual tub arrangement to hang out together. A soda flat box normally covers this area but I have lifted it to show them. This is the older trio. The younger trio are all in separate places in one of their dual tubs as of this morning, but occasionally hang out together.

For those who are new to this story; the tubs are joined together with RV sewer tubing, giving the snakes extra space.

Thanks! I am very pleased with this communal thing so far. Before I put these three together they used to be able to see each other as their tubs were within sight of one another, and also they could smell one another. They often acted like they wanted to be together, being restless and poking around at the tub lid in the direction of the other snakes. Now that they are actually together they do seem much more content.
