Mojave x Lesser Breeding

MikeMurphy Sep 30, 2010 01:07 PM

Sorry for all the noob questions lately but these co-dom traits are new to me (and fascinating). Am I correct in assuming that breeding a Mojave to a Lesser can produce Mojaves, Lessers and BELs? I think I have that right...

I tried the breeding outcome calculator thing on the ball python morph site but it didn't seem right to me.

Thanks a lot.
Mike

yes you are correct. you can mix and match between lessers, mojaves, butters, and russo's i do believe all with a 1 in 4 chance of hitting the bel.

For each egg:

25% chance lesser
25% chance mojave
25% chance normal
25% chance BEL

I think Russo's produce black-eyed lucys!

nephrurus Sep 30, 2010 09:58 PM

Russos produce "White Diamond" Blue eyed leucistics. Fires, Sulphurs, and the PE "lemonback" produce the black eyed leucistics.

Russos are in the same complex as lessers, mojaves, butters, and the dozen others that are compatible with each other.

From breeding my Mojave het ghost to my female lesser, I got this :
(7 egg clutch)

1 normal male

2 mojave males

1lesser female

and 3 BEL females

I would definitely take those odds again.
But statistically, you should have 25% of getting each of them.
