Sneezing snake

texasviper619 Sep 30, 2010 05:07 PM

I recently purchased an adult pair of kingsnakes and I noticed that one of them has a bad sneezing problem, he will have a spasm as he blows air out of his nostrils and the tip of his nose is sort of red. Could this be a respiratory infection and if so, how would I treat it? Thanks

Well, you may not want to hear this, but I think you should take him to a veterinarian. That way you will be able to get the proper treatment instead of flying blind.

What substrate do you have them on? Try newspaper first and see if the sneezing goes away. Provide a hotspot and a cool area.
