Risks of albino x albino breedings?

liquidleaf Oct 01, 2010 09:29 AM

I've had BPs for years but never bred them, and have been away from reptile forums for a while.

I just recently got my first albino (male pos het pied)! Anyway, I know that in the boa constrictor community, albino x albino breedings are usually avoided because of the possibility of bulging eyes or other issues.

Is that an issue with albino BPs? Or have the gene pools for albinos widened enough in the past 5 years or so to make it less of a problem?

Eventually will have to decide what sort of mate to get for Chester (dream would be a female pied 100% het albino... but that's not in the budget and hard enough to find right now).

Thanks in advance for your opinions!
