new pic. before and after

Gary93 Oct 02, 2010 10:36 PM

took a new pic of Buddy the other day. I got him back in January at about 5 months old or so. I gave him a birthday in August, so he is just over a year old now. i havnt really measured him, but he is at least 2 ft long, not sure on the weight. in the pics, the white tile is a 16"x16" i believe, and the gray slate is 12"x12".
1st day i got him, January 26, 2010, about 16-17" long

right out of the bag

Is that slate that the iggy is laying on? I would suppose to pulls in more heat?? If so, sounds like a good idea because wood doesn't seem to pull is a lot of heat when you have a light under it, it disperses fast.

yea it's slate. it holds heat very well

I have one just like that. He/she looks great. Dose he/she struggle when you hold it?

Gary93 Oct 23, 2010 09:16 PM

thank you
na he doesnt struggle. at first he did. but i took it slow. i wouldnt handle him, just went about my business of cleaning and putting in food, and every now and again id pet his back. that's what i still do today but now he's not flighty even when i hold him. it takes time to build their trust

How long dose it take? Mine will only eat fruit out of my hand. But he is sitll afraid of me. I got him at a reptile show about 2 months ago.

Gary93 Oct 23, 2010 10:12 PM

it takes time. with most cyclura the 2 year old point is generally when they become very tolerable. i've had mine since january of this year. just take it slow. he tamed down a lot more when i moved him out of his small fish tank into a huge mansion lol
