See the orange area southeast of Sacramento? That's my neck of the woods! The ground has gone from being bone dry to flooded. My toad tub got so wet the poor toads have had to get on top of their bark hides for higher ground. Today I will clean out their tub and put fresh soil, and put them in the greenhouse for the winter. Didn't really expect such a deluge! I did take down the summer mouse tent and put the mice in their winter quarters, the nice dry RV, yesterday. I know the garden is going to be a mess, but the harvest will be fine. Just have to wait a few days for things to dry out some. All my snakes and lizards are snug in their cozy habitats. I wonder if they noticed the dundervetter; it was quite a light show right on top of us!
