There are several snakes that are black or black and white. My personal favorite is the black ratsnake. It starts out black with lighter markings (brownish mostly). Much of the underside is lighter...either white or yellowish. As it matures, it becomes blacker and blacker. Some become almost completely black with just a white chin, while others retain some of their juvenile markings. They are great snakes to keep as pets.
I think the black racer is all or mostly black. Don't know as much about it, but don't think they are as good captives.
Some of the cornsnake morphs are pretty much black, white, and maybe greyish.
My vote obviously goes for the black ratsnake. Duffy

Is this a joke? A trick question?

Let's see...

Numerous salamanders
Mexican Black Kingsnakes
Black Milk Snakes
Black Pine Snakes
Eastern Indigo Snakes
Mexican Red Tailed Cribos
California Kingsnakes
Black and White Spitting Cobras
Forest Cobras
Kraits
Speckled Kingsnakes
Black Racers
Black Rat Snakes
Black King Snakes
Some Eastern Hognose Snakes
Some Eastern Kingsnakes

I can think of more if I need to, but is that enough to get you started in whatever you are doing?

Black lizards, I think, are a little harder to come by, but there are so many kinds of black snakes it's not even funny.
Although the black and white tegu comes to mind. And the black tree monitor.
