Yellow Phase Texas Pinesnake.

byron.d Oct 04, 2010 03:30 PM

Actually a locality Northern Pine.
This female is about as mean as they come - seriously reminds me a Texas Rat with her constant biting and raising hell whenever I even look at her tub.

She should color up to a vivid yellow and rich black.

I was unaware that northerns ranged into TX. is this the case or are these an extension of the LA pine?

a reference to this snake just being mean as hell (TX Rat). This girl is all NJ stock - with a Texas sized attitude.

saving grace.....

The sire and dam that produced her throw a range of colors in their offspring - including some really nice reds. The yellows show up every few years and from what I was told, they will become very bright yellow as they mature. They are Pine Barrens stock.

Thanks for the compliment.

Please keep us updated. I'm really hoping my "yellowish" Burlington girl will get "high" yellow.
