Campbelli Planted Tank, One Week Update

wccs2001 Oct 05, 2010 09:50 AM

i haven't touched the plants or dirt other than to water the plants. and then i only poured water in, didn't rearrange anything. on friday, i did have to dig loki out of the dirt for his feeding, so it was disturbed some then.

today when i get time, i'll rework everything. try to move stuff so they'll be more out of his way. i'll add those pictures too.

..I...and you are you not I.....
would use a smaller water bowl..(heavy though) and a small bowl for feeding in....actually I do that with most of my smaller milks....I use 2 bowls....like 3 1/2 inchers....one with water and one for putting pinks and fuzzies into so they are in the same place all the time....so I can see if they were eaten and so they don't get lost and rolled in the aspen....
yes the pinks and fuzzies will walk out or get pushed out sometimes...and end up drowning and stinking bigtime...

my reds lay in the food bowl when hungry...(other ssp too)....I swear they all got me trained.....

i used the 3.5 inch up until about 3 months ago. he just outgrew it and wasn't able to get all of his body in to soak. i don't feed him in his tank. i've got a feeder tub that i put him in. if i /am/ in a hurry and have to feed him in tank, i've got a small glass bowl that i stick in. basically a custard cup. he doesn't do live really well. only f/t.

he's 2 years old. last time i measured he was 37" long. that was about a month or two ago at the last shed. he has a shed coming up again in the next week.
