No one is eating, time to breed?

ROC Oct 05, 2010 11:43 PM

This up coming season will be my first time breeding balls. For the past month or so almost none of my ball pythons have eaten. A few here and there, but as of late nobody is interested except for one male. Are these guys going through the motions and getting ready? Any insight is appreciated.

Pretty much. This is the time that most people start cooling, so...if their intestines are empty, go for it.

Tonight im going to start putting males in.

Does 3 days in with her, and then 3 days to rest and possible eat sound alright?

If thats good, how long should I be introducing them?

I haven't cooled. Ive heard you don't have to.

All of my breeders are still eating just fine.

Sounds like a decent cycle to me.
I think last year I did 3 days in, 2 days rest, 3 days in etc etc.

If they all have proper weight id say pair a couple up see what happens.. My last clutch of the season just hatched and I pretty much breed the snakes off and on for the whole year with successful lockups..

I started pairing 3 weeks ago. Some of my breeders are still eating, though.
