I was goofing around the net today and seen something I would label as odd to say the least. Alot of the new designer morphs are coming from over seas. Some of the most extreme morphs as of late are the Raptor, marron , and the roswell cross that I seen today (yet to be named) so here is my question to the people hiding whats new lol share some pics darn it lol. Now back to the serious side makes you wounder what goes on behind the scenes on what people are working with on the side. Ive seen some motley jungle out crosses leopard boa projects aztec crosses but here is one that is on my mind and dont laugh lol anyone working on jungle to leopard het sharp? I am kind of curious what would happen there. the second one that had me thinking thanks to Mr Burke is the t-pos blood type 2 anery jungle. The new morphs that came out this year are smoking but I would like to know what is in the waiting its like making a hypo/orange tail/monster tail/sharp/jungle lol
just a mad science thought but imagine the animal a sunglow that would be over the place on the markers and on the tail or maybe a stripped snake with a tail loud and proud with colors that would slap even the most insane co-doms. I mean imagine how it was when the motley one of the most beloved co-doms was introduced to the public.

just the babbling of some boa crazed nut
my friends call me Ray lmao

Big suprise that no one wants to share their supise projects. Just goes to show that most are in it for the money.

I couldnt disagree with you more. A project is just that "a project". I would argue that most people who are patient and dilligent enough to do what it takes for their projects to come to fruition care way more than most about their animals. Please forgive them for making anything back for the time and effort that they put into their projects. America is only strong because of capitalism and freedom.

My point is if people weren't in it for the money, then I think eveyone would be willing to openly discuss all the projects they are currently working on. Believe me, I know what kind of care and dedication goes into creating new morphs or selectively breeded for color or what ever else they desire. I just have a problem when people try to hide their projects so that no one else can beat them to creating a new morph that can be sold for $10,000 vs only $1,000. Lets face it, there aren't that many crazy combo's available to us boa lovers like there are for balls. I think we could all do much better by working together to see what coud be done with our animals.

I havent see too many big secrets. You have the sterling boa, marron boa, aztec, paradise........ It takes time for these things to prove genetic. We have way too many breeders that jump the gun when it comes to new so called morphs. Sometimes you have to wait until prices come down on the high end stuff. I didnt get an albino sharp until I was 4o years old (2006). I wanted one since 1993 !!! You can buy hets and possible hets as well. I dont want every new morph priced at 1000. That is called socialism.

I think its kinda hard to be "not in it for the money" when your buying snakes for $3k, $5k, $10k and even higher. That may be someones college money, maybe a family vacation, maybe a newer car. Unless you have millions of dollars or all boas are $500 or below, there will always be ppl in it for the money. That doesnt mean that 'these people who are in it for the money' dont love their snakes and treat them as personal pets or even part of their family. IMO

Exactly... people dont go out and buy a 10K $ pair just because they want to breed them for kicks.... you want to recoup your costs.... It's just smart business,,
This is a business for some people... and to criticize someone for wanting to increase their profit margin is just ludicrous.....

How do you figure? People generally keep their projects to themselves until they prove them out.... There is no sense in generating a bunch of excitement about a project that never comes to fruition.... There is nothing wrong with keeping your projects to yourself... there is alot of competition these days and sales are getting harder and harder..... to each his own

I agree with you Dan. Some projects are kept hidden away because someone might want to just come out with some incredibly unique and different. Plus something if mentioned might get others into it and being the first to make something is a honor!
