How do you care for snakes at Expos???

TSUSnakeGuy Oct 06, 2010 10:48 PM

I am going to an expo this weekend and this is the first one where I will be a vendor. I was wondering if yall give the snakes water or if they are just fine for the 3 or 4 days you are doing the expo or what. I mean they are all in deli cups so its kinda hard to water them.

When I vend, I use the acrylic displays like this:

At the end of the day, I put water dishes in and leave them until the next morning, when I take them out before the show starts.

I suppose you could do the same thing with deli cups, just use even smaller deli cups as water dishes, maybe?

I'll be interested to read other replies to your question, as I am now curious!

I've never done a big expo and I myself have been curious how most people deal with this exact topic.

I know I would be pretty concerned after the 2nd day at least
about providing water.

I've also wondered.... at the end of the first day, do the big displays leave their animals at their booths? I see lots of jewel cases, not heat pads. If so, how are the temps maintained and security?? I would not sleep a wink knowing I had $100k sitting in someone else's hands. Might be worth it to pack everything up and take to the hotel. Im sure they have it under control, just curious how it's done.
