Hello, I believe this is a Corn Snake, correct me if I'm wrong. It doesn't Constrict. I live in South Florida.

Is the lizard his friend, or his dinner, or is he dinner for the lizard, and why is he eating moss? I'm so confused...

I'll bet the snake struck at the lizard and missed, ha ha! He got a mouth full of moss instead. They are pretty cute when they are that small. I see quite a few around my house but they are quick! Sometimes I find baby Coachwhips. I am always tempted to try to keep one as a baby and see if I can tame them down over time. But naaa my plate is too full already.

"I'll bet the snake struck at the lizard and missed, ha ha! He got a mouth full of moss instead"

That is exactly what happened Jorge. I told him to kill the lizards fast and humanely first(preferably frozen to kill all parasites first), then introduce the anole slowly with a long set of thin tongs when I posted to him over on the "racer forum" if he was actually going to keep the snake. But I also told him that many racers don't do real well in captivity for most novice snake keepers, and I suggested it would really be best if it was let go again where it was found.

He later posted that he did indeed plan to let it go the next day, as he didn't know they got up around 4 feet or more like I told him they typically can.

So all's well that ends well..LOL!

Looks like a little ill tempered racer like this one I found in my yard. Steve

...it's a baby racer.

Wild corn snakes have checkered bellies, racers have plain bellies.
