plants and monitors

1year old 4 foot s to t new horse trouth as house 8x 10 and 3 feet tall its sick and nice to have I want to put real indoor plants in the cage to help with smells and looks.good idea or bad ..thanks

good idea if you can keep the monitors from beating up the plants...which they will do.
There are creative ways to pull this off however if you are really good at working with plants and can provide adequate lighting for the plants.....and of course keep them away from the basking spot which will surely cook even the toughest plants.
