demonsnakes84 Oct 11, 2010 09:21 PM

Has this been done yet? If so, can anybody shed some light on how crazy these things look?

Im expecting a Vanilla YB female for my YB Male. Just curious as how this combo would turn out. Any insite would be appreciated.

Ive never heard of one being produced, but im guessing it would turn out just less patternd, or possible lacking the faint yellow stripe running down their back.

Only one way to know for sure though!

Best of luck.

I don't think anyone has produced one yet. I would imagine it will look something like the Pastel Ivory.

Is there any reason why you would think it would look like a Pastel Ivory? I thought the Vanilla gene would maybe do something different than the Pastel Gene. From previous pictures of Pastel Ivories, I've only seen a handful that you can actually notice the Pastel gene.

I do not even think you will notice the vanilla in an ivory, if anything, it may be a little lighter but the vanilla in itself is a fairly subtle trait, with all that white, there is not much left to lighten up. The yellowbelly trait does do some wild stuff though so I hope I am wrong. A super vanilla ivory would be a GREAT animal to stick into a few projects though.

That's the idea at hand. I'm waiting for my Vanilla YB female so I can put my male YB (Amir Line) in with her. She is about 150g right now so I know I got some time before the Super Vanilla Ivory even decides to come into play. I'm hoping for a Vanilla Ivory Male to put back to mom for the Super Vanilla Ivory. Either way, if you put a Super Vanilla Ivory to anything you are bound to make crazy looking stuff!!

Thanks for all the input and comments guys!

That's actually what I meant when I said the vanilla/ Ivory will probably be like the Pastel/ Ivory ...slightly lighter (but easy to see in a litter compared to normal regular ivories). Also while the vanilla is subtle, it shows up well in most combos (although hard to see in photos), once you see them in the flesh, its easy to spot the vanilla influence.

We are in agreement regards the Super Vanilla in "anything" combo! That's why I'm a big fan of the vanilla mutation.
